PRESIDENT, MUTUAL FUND COMPLEX                                                                             We represent a mutual fund advisor in the search for a strong and experienced leader in the role of President to provide leadership and oversight to the investment and operations organizations.  The President of the Funds Group will continue to expand the business by realigning the network of relationships with unaffiliated sub-advisory firms to create a “best in breed” platform that will provide investors with a full menu of fund alternatives.  In addition, the President will strengthen the operating platform within the organization and build the firm's  capabilities as a package and distributor of investment solutions.  We are seeking an individual with experience in a 40 Act regulatory environment, who understands the operations of a mutual fund complex and can effectively work with the fund boards.  Requirements: Qualified candidates will have fifteen or more years of successful leadership experience in a mutual fund organization or premier financial institution which distributes mutual funds.

CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER - MANAGER OF MANAGERS                                                 Our client is a mutual fund complex located in the Mid Atlantic region.  We are conducting a search for a Chief Investment Officer to be responsible for sub-advisor selection, oversight and monitoring, including termination and transition.  Additional responsibilities will include: developing risk and asset class guidelines for sub-advisors; asset allocation methodology and implementation; Portfolio construction and monitoring for multi-manager funds and fund-of-funds, including optimization, rebalancing, attribution; Trading policies and procedures for fund-of-funds and trading oversight for sub-advisors.  The CIO will also be the named portfolio manager on fund-of-funds.  Requirements:  15 + years of appropriate investment experience such as manager-of-manager oversight or portfolio management; a seasoned investment professional with proven judgment who has delivered consistently strong performance.

FIXED INCOME PORTFOLIO MANAGER                                                                            Our client seeks a core fixed income manager to join a team of credit portfolio managers in managing a $6 billion fixed income portfolio to achieve maximum yield for both insurance and total return accounts.  Portfolios will encompass investment grade corporate bonds, MBS, CMBS, ABS, treasuries and agencies.  The portfolio manager will:  actively manage portfolios to achieve superior long-term performance against a specified index through the selection of appropriate asset classes, industry concentrations and securities; monitor existing holdings and generate ideas to augment portfolio performance; make decisions for the portfolios on sector weighting, timing and value of transactions and advise traders of criteria for the execution of trades for the portfolio.  Requirements:  Ten or more years of experience in total return fixed income portfolio management with a demonstrable track record of superior performance.  MBA and/or CFA required.  Extensive total return portfolio management experience with a demonstrated track record of superior, risk-adjusted investment performance.

HIGH YIELD ANALYSTS                                                                                                 Our client is a global investment management firm headquartered in the Midwest.  We are conducting a search for high yield analyst to build a research team to cover bonds and loans.  The analysts handle the analysis of new purchase requests as well as proactively monitoring existing holdings within their industries.  Provide timely analysis of new credits; perform analysis on individual existing holdings, as well as those not currently held, to make proactive credit recommendations.  Maintain credit opinions on 40-50 specific names for buy/hold/sell opinions to maximize risk-adjusted returns on the high yield and bank loan portfolios. Requirements:    Experience in credit research in a corporate bond investment group or sell side research department with expertise in at least one of the desired industries: industrials, transportation, capital goods or homebuilding.  This individual must be able to hit the ground running in a research environment.  MBA strongly preferred, CFA preferred.  Strong accounting and financial analysis.

DIRECTOR, MEZZANINE INVESTMENTS                                                                           This position is responsible for the origination, due diligence, execution and portfolio monitoring of direct mezzanine and mezzanine fund investments.  The process requires sourcing, analysis, structuring, evaluation and execution of investments presented by investment bankers, issuers and mezzanine sponsors.  Requirements:  Minimum five to ten years of mezzanine investment experience. MBA/CFA preferred.  Demonstrated success in originating, structuring, underwriting and executing leveraged transactions in conjunction with private equity sponsors.  Demonstrated experience in structuring and negotiating junior capital solutions.  Strong oral and written communications skills.  Strong interest in building a business.  Flexibility and willingness to travel. 

CREDIT ANALYST - LONDON                                                                                          Our client is a major US financial institution with over $150 billion in assets.  We are conducting a search for an experienced credit analyst with knowledge of financial institutions to join their London team.  The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience.  Ability to assess relative value between sectors and individual securities is essential for success in this role, in addition to strong fundamental analytical skills both quantitative and qualitative.                     

BOARD OF DIRECTORS                                                                                                    On an ongoing basis, we are interested in maintaining contact with qualified individuals who have an interest in serving on Boards of Directors.
Responsibilities: Regularly attend board meetings and actively participate in the decision-making process and oversight of corporate decisions. Make serious commitment to participate actively in committee work by preparing for each board meeting by carefully studying the agenda and supporting materials. Stay informed about committee matters, prepare well for meetings, and review and comment on minutes and reports. Get to know other Board members and build a collegial working relationship that contributes to consensus. Is an active participant in the Board's annual evaluation and planning efforts.
                                                            Requirements: High level of integrity and commitment is required.  As the Board meets twelve times a year, the ability and readiness to attend these meetings will be a key in determining candidates appropriateness for this situation.
